Lean meats, such as chicken, turkey, fish, and seafood, are low-fat and reduce symptoms of acid reflux. High fat meals and even fried foods tend to decrease lower esophageal sphincter (LES) pressure and delay stomach emptying, increasing the risk of reflux. Choose lean meats that are grilled, poached, broiled, or baked.
